Perfection so far Apr 14, 2010
By E. Hecht I have only had this for six weeks, but this little netbook is so fun! Worked perfectly right out of the box. Didn't have to load anything to make it find my wireless network. I'm very pleased and at this point, have nothing negative to say. Of course, it has only been 6 weeks. The keyboard is tiny as you should expect but I can type on it just as well as my other laptop once I am using it for a minute and my fingers get used to it. It is so light and convenient. I love it!
Great little computer! Jan 26, 2011
By Mitchell Gordon I got one of the refurbished models from the Used list for $140. Terrific little machine. Exactly the same as a decent large laptop but shrunk down to the size of a hardback novel, and with no CD drive. Asus has the right idea...why make people learn a new operating system like Android or Linux or iPad and give up their usual software and storage just for portability? I need Windows and I need a hard drive, and this tiny laptop delivers. Will I throw away my 14" Dell? Hardly! But for travel, this is perfect. And the performance is plenty fast, and the screen is nice and sharp.
Admittedly this particular model is discontinued, but Asus hopefully offers the same great little gadget new with Windows 7 for $300. If they don't, they're foolish!

A disapointment initially - now it's fine Oct 26, 2010
By shophop This product arrived very quickly. I was very happy and expected to turn it on, set the wireless connection, and go online. I should mention, this was a REFURBISHED netbook, and unfortunately, it came without an internet network. It came with a CD to download the network, but there is no place to insert a CD on the small netbook. After I wasted many hours trying to figure it out and get online, my friend took my netbook home, downloaded the CD on her computer, hooked my netbook up to her computer, and transfered the network connection to my netbook.
Now it works great and I love it, but it was intially very frustrating and disapointing. I can't figure out why they'd ship a netbook without wireless capability, or any internet connection capabilty, already installed. It wouldn't even connect when I plugged it directly into the router. Afterall, it's main purpose is to go online.
It works great now, and I'm very pleased with it's performance so far. The price was good, so I'll admit, it was worth the trouble, though I'm sure a new one would have been ready to go online as delivered.
