Perfect for traveling! Aug 25, 2010
By Lorraine A. Sarfert I had been thinking about buying a 10" netbook for quite a while and finally did it! I've just had it a few days, but already I feel that it is just what I wanted for traveling. It is so small, but still very usable, and I love the red color! It has only 1 GB memory and 250 GB hard drive. That's not a lot of memory, but for my purposes I think it will be just fine. It was a great buy at Amazon!

GREAT Sep 10, 2010
By Matthew Speirs this is the first netbook I have owned and pretty much the first one Ive used for any length of time as well, so I dont really have anything to compare it to. it streams netflix perfectly, it plays youtube videos, and it surfs the web. thats what I bought it for and it does it all. I already bought a 2GB stick for it before it even arrived, and I havent put it in yet and not sure it "needs" it, but Im sure it will just make it that much better. biggest complaint is I always hit the equals key instead of backspace key and sometimes bump the track pad with my palm and move the cursor while typing. I have had it unplugged for over 3 hours now, and it hasnt been open the whole time, but ive played a few youtube videos, streamed netflix for 20 minutes or so, some general browsing and downloading software, and I still show 67% - 5hr 20min left. plus I got it for much less than other brands with similar specs.

Convenient computing Oct 22, 2010
By Elvis The Acer Aspire has worked very well for me in the past 2 months I have had it.
My wife has taken it on a trip and it fit easily in her carry-on luggage, a full size laptop would count as a separate piece itself.
The built in camera works very well, and Skype works just fine with it.
It is not the fastest machine, but boots up faster than my 4 year old desktop.
Windows 7 starter has some limitations, but, there are workarounds for it.
I wouldn't put a more robust OS on it for fear of slowing the system down.
The keyboard and screen are a little small, but to be expected on a netbook. The scroll pad works ok, but, a wireless mouse works better for me. And again, there are workarounds to these limitations.
I did get the 250 GB hard drive, and purchased the 2 GB memory stick to upgrade from the 1 GB memory. However you must use the
Do NOT use the one they recommend when you buy the "Amazon package".
I did have to return the old, etc. But Amazon we very helpful with that.
To install the memory, this I found to be the best website to go to for instructions: [...]
Good luck, it is a great deal for the price and size.

Works great! Oct 06, 2010
By Too Many Hats Great for traveling. Easy to use while flying with those Coach class tray tables and still have room for your beverage. The only "con" is that it is easy to hit the Touch pad while typing if you're not careful where you rest your hands. I can type without looking and the keyboard works fine (Touch pad problem not withstanding.) Battery holds charge as promised... listened to music and played games/checked email and after 4 hours I still had 67% left on the battery.

Good Netbook Oct 05, 2010
By Nicole I got this Netbook to have a computer that my kids could use. It is great. Has everything a desktop does, but is nice, compact and easy to store. It came with windows 7 starter, which is much better than any previous windows platform, but the starter package made it difficult to connect to the network printer because it does not talk well with the older Mac computers. It took some time to get it setup right, but now that it is linked, it is working well. I am happy with this netbook purchase.
