Performs as expected. Quality of construction material ( plastic) may be questionable. However, it is in line with the price. I have another drive of the same type, which was $3 more in cost. It is slightly better quality but functionally the same. I would recommend this product based on functionality related to cost. The construction material quality is the one down side of the product.
ADDED AFTER 60 DAYS OF USE:
Nonfunctional after 60 days. Definite device failure. No external damage or misuse. Worked great with high use and several SDHC cards until failure.

I recently purchased an SD Card from this Amazon partner The SD card included this "free" card reader as a promotion. I received the card reader, and it is fine, it is a generic reader of the type that can be purchased for a few dollars from any electronics store. My issue is this. After reviewing my order I found I was charged $13.99 for shipping and handling of my "FREE" card reader. I can't even return it, because I won't be refunded the S&H. This SCAM is becoming more and more common on Amazon. I recently cancelled several orders the most obnoxious of which was charging me $50 in S$H on a $17 purchase. I beleive partners like this are really ruining the Amazon experience. I am sure if I go back I will find somewhere in the find print that I agreed to this, and so be it. I fell for it. This late night infomercial game may protect Amazon legally, but in this day and age I would say they need to appreciate that no company is too big to fail. People are broke, and watching their dollars alot more closely. Please be cautious consumers. BoBoTech is not the only Amazon partner running this SCAM. After you confirm your order, open the pending orders and check the broken down shipping costs. This is how I have caught this scam several times, I just neglected to do it here. Unfortunately Amazon's quest to be all things to all people have led them to partner with Scammers like BoBotech. Buyer beware of this supplier.

By The Leilas I bought this after losing the mini memory card from my last MiniSD purchase. This one is exactly what I was expecting, and, unlike the last, the mini card comes out of the regular memory card without industrial tweezers (the last was remarkably difficult to extracate).

By grubedoo Although it's conveniently sized it is a very low quality product. It feels flimsy, cards don't easily slide in, there are untrimmed pieces of plastic left from the mold on it and there's no direction on which way to put the card in the reader. My laptop PC doesn't read it--gets a USB error and my desktop Mac gets a USB device low power warning even when the only other thing connected via USB is my keyboard. I don't recommend purchasing this product.

By B. Burress So far this item works as expected. I have used it on a Windows XP machine as well as a Windows Vista machine. No problems extracting the SD card from the reader, end caps on each end are a nice touch to keep dust/dirt out of the connectors.
