Great in the sun if you know where to point it Jul 12, 2011
By Patrick Guinard This is the go pro that is seen on all of the big fancy videos, it's simple and you can't easily mess up the quality.
Pros: Works great in the sun, battery goes longer than a 16GB card at 1080p (a full day of skiing anywhere if you stop it on the lifts and keep moving). The stabalizer on here is awesome, I attach this to my helmit and I can hear it rattling around in the case when I'm going through the mougles but the video is not very shakey when it comes out.
Features that I think it's missing: Screen to see where it's pointing and adjust brightness levels. It would be awesome to be able to change the white balance for dark areas (IE a cloudy day where I live makes the videos look poor.

By L. Huckabee I like this camera and use it to record my skiing adventures. The Camera comes with more accessories than I thought it would so that a plus. The only complaint I have so far is that there are no instructions on the way to mount the camera.

By Wooglers I rented the older version of this camera a few times at Whistler before I decided it was so good that I would buy one. Use it for mountian biking and will use it for snowboarding / skiing. great images. adjusts well in different light conditions on the fly. Easy to edit. Can set to shoot upside down for use with chest mount (great shots with chest mount by the way as you can see much of the bike while in the air as well as rider in front). Mountainbike Action reviewed this camera in Aug 2011 issue and gave it 5of5. I have used other helmet cams. this is by far the best.

Very Good Compact Waterproof HD Camera Jul 23, 2010
By kash It takes little getting used to get the right modes and how to trigger a Video or Photo, but the results are amazing. The Camera is very compact and the quality is very good, including the quality of the head mount harness and the other mounts. The Helmet position is generally high so I have ordered a Chest Mount harness as well. I have taken shots riding my Hayabusa (Suzuki 1340 CC Motorcycle) with the camera mounted on top of my helmet, the Shots are just amazing, No vibration what so ever (believe me I have spent nearly 500 bucks before on various mounts to shoot with my HD camcorder and it was all very shaky).
I have also taken underwater shots in swimming pool of my son swimming and the waterproofing works great and the shots are again just awesome.
Definitely worth the price and recommend you pay the extra for the HD version compared to the SD version, its worth it...
Indoor performance is not so good compared to my Canon HD camcorder, but outdoor shots have no issues.

By Jan shipping and stuff was fine. One thing that Amazon should definitely suggest as an additional item, is battery charger. Yeah- package includes head straps, mounts, gazzilion of cables .. but no charger. oh surprise- the charger is not even an available item at amazon. Charging through USB? they must be kidding.
