Description
The Internet is at the center of modern life keeping you connected and informed through email, IMs, RSS feeds, social networking sites and Search. Keeping up often requires time shifting with companion devices like netbooks. Powered by energy-efficient Intel Atom processors, the HP Mini 110 is optimized for Web access and can handle standard productivity apps - but is light enough to carry everywhere at just 2.33 lbs. Its LED anti-glare display reduces reflection that can distract from the visual experience, especially when used outside. The 92% of full-size keyboard enables much more efficient and comfortable use than texting (or typing on smartphone keyboards) for most. Windows 7 makes locating and connecting to hotspots easier and faster than ever. The HP Mini 110 is the perfect device for staying productive, informed and in touch.

Netbook Purchase Jul 04, 2010 Purchased this HP mini 110-1125NR based on price and some on line reviews. I am pleased with the product. The only complaint I have at this time is the volume of the speakers; I think they should produce a little more volume. Overall this net book works very well for me and it should be much easier to travel with instead of my laptop with the 17 inch screen.
I still like it.99% good Jun 02, 2010 good laptop I like it.but only thing I dont like was the plastic screen was not so good looking.most laptop has been change the good look screen.
Good net book. May 21, 2010 I have a mack book pro and this netbook, I have to say the wireless card on this one gives me better performance. also the battery life it worth you can work the hole day with it, it compensates for the bigger battery size. LED screen give reliable colors (photography) and the SD slot turns out to be very useful. The include HP OS is really useful for quick checking email, web and even photos and music.
Lot of advantages on a package this price.
Excelent Mar 27, 2010 this product is just perfect, im 16. and i use it at my school realy compact, usefull.
Great netbook for on the go Mar 24, 2010 I think I've had this netbook for about a month now. I bought it refurbished but it looks as if its brand new. Right out of the box, my first impression was that it was a great looking netbook. It has nice designs on the front. Very pretty. I picked up the netbook and thought it was very light but then I put the battery in and realized the 6-cell added a considerable amount of weight. The netbook is basically weightless without the battery. Even with the battery I wouldn't call it heavy. It still should be considered very light. The battery sticks out of the back and raises the netbook. This is actually very useful because it provides better circulation and keeps the netbook cooler. I also have a heavy dell laptop and I've always put something under to lift it a little higher from the table but I don't have to do that with this netbook. As for battery life, I seem to get about the advertised battery life (that's nearly 8 hours) when I'm just browsing the net and doing simple things.
The screen on this netbook is perfect for me. Anything smaller is too small and anything bigger wouldn't be considered a netbook by my definition. The quality of the screen is great too. The graphics card isn't all that great. I noticed that videos look much nicer on my dell laptop than they do on this one. But of course, this isn't a media netbook so that's perfectly fine.
Windows 7 starter is....meh. It's annoying. I'm one of those people who has to change my desktop background like every other day. That's why I upgraded to the Ultimate version. You can upgrade very easily via the upgrade tool that comes built in. Basically they give you a link online and you get a product key and then you enter it into the upgrade too. You have to pay to upgrade of course (nothing in life is free...except linux). After that windows just downloads a bunch of updates and you have to restart and you're ready to go. I have to be honest though, windows 7 starter isn't as bad as I thought it would be. Sure you can't change the desktop background but thats my only complaint about it. There are actually ways to get around that and if you search google you'll find it. If you don't mind having the same background you'll be fine with the starter edition.
There is something very cool about this netbook though that I feel I HAVE to mention since only a few people mentioned it in their reviews. This netbook comes with a preinstalled Instant OS. It's made by hp and it is exactly as the name says; it's an instant operating system. It loads in a couple of seconds after you turn on your computer and you can go online, check your email, and chat on skype with it. You can switch to windows 7 easily by clicking a button on the bottom left and then windows 7 will load. This is a very nifty feature because sometimes I just want to get online quickly without having to wait for windows to load (although windows doesn't take that long to load). Originally I wanted to install Windows XP on this netbook but the instant OS is built into the same partition as the Windows 7 Starter and if I reformatted the Windows 7 Starter partition I'd lose the instant OS. I could've just made a separate partition and then install winodws xp and dual boot with xp and 7 but I didn't know how that would affect the instant OS so I just decided to upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate.
Performance wise, the netbook runs fine. I have no problems with it when I'm doing everyday things. It's not meant for hardcore gaming but it's good enough to play simple games. The processor is good for a netbook. The netbook comes with 1 GB of memory. That's good enough for me although I might add 2 GB to it sometime in the future just for the bragging rights. The hard drive is 160GB which is more than enough for me.
My one real complaint is the way the mousepad is designed. You might have noticed from the pictures that that right-click and left-click buttons are to the right and left of the mousepad. Generally on most netbooks and laptops, they're usually under the mousepad but having them to the sides is a bit annoying. I still rate the netbook 5 stars though because I don't feel as if this is enough to take away a star from such a great computer.
This netbook comes with a builtin webcam and mic. The webcam quality isn't that great. Its perfectly fine for me but some might not like it.
Overall, I really love this netbook. I take it to class with me and it's very helpful since I can lookup the topics online as the professor talks about them and get a different explanation of the topics. I would like to note that this netbook is not a replacement for a laptop or desktop. I would recommend this product to you all (except for you hardcore gamers).
