Low durability Oct 15, 2008
By Christopher Kiefer I bought this case to go with the new Eee PC I bought for my girlfriend. She liked the colors, and it has a smooth, soft texture. I also liked the simplicity with which the case stretches perfectly over the mini computer without the need for Velcro or zippers. And the reversability is fantastic. So this product should receive 5 stars for its appearance, design, and sense of touch.
However, this product loses two stars because after about a month of normal use, this case has shown serious signs of wear and tear that are disproportionate to the 30 days it's been used. The surface soiled rather easily with black streaks picked up from tabletops. Perhaps it can be washed. I honestly don't know. The most importantly disappointment of all--the case already has developed a small hole in it--after a month only.
(Something to note: The Eee PC already ships with its own black Asus soft case.)

This is a great product to protect my son's Asus Eee PC 4G Surf Laptop. It is a nice color and fits the computer perfectly. He prefers the orange side and it reverses easily and the seams are finished and don't unravel. A good purchase.

Not Completely Necessary, But... Dec 23, 2008
By Randy Kirk I use this with my EEE PC and it has remained surprisingly clean and in good condition. The product itself is fine, but a bit unnecessary, since a subnotebook like the EEE PC is basically designed to withstand a bit more abuse and/or rough handling than a laptop (thus the solid-state drive) and I don't really worry about dents and scratches on the EEE PC itself the same way I'd worry about a laptop or desktop.
I feel that this product is a bit superfluous, but it's still excellent all the same when it comes to keeping you subnotebook looking cherry.
And, in my opinion, it's not particularly hard to get the EEE PC into the sleeve. The sleeve is rather elastic.
