This is a good and inexpensive memory card reader. I have used it with Sony regular and PRO DUO memory (no additional adapter required for PRO DUO). I have also used it with my SD card that fits in my COMPAQ IPAQ and other PDAs (as well as my Dell and Toshiba laptops). I think it is a great product for the price.
The product does have a wide profile, so if your computer USB ports sit perpendicular to the ground, you'll need some space between your computer and the ground (or surface on which the computer is sitting).

By cttarheel I bought this adapter to use with my memory stick from my Sony camera to connect with both a PC and a Mac. It did not work with either. When I plugged it into either computer, it was not recognized. Do not buy this adapter. It does not work.

Works well, but a bit bulky Oct 10, 2008

PROS:
Inexpensive
Fast access times
convenient
easy to use
CONS:
Bulky, it is a bit too wide, so it could occupy another USB port in some cases..
Flimsy, mine came with a defect, when you insert it into the port, the internal circuit moves back a bit, causing the memory door to open
But then again, it is so inexpensive and practical that i would recommend its use as a backup pendrive

This product worked as designed. Someone I know accidently deleted all of the photos on a memory card. Since the Pro Duo memory card does not fit in the USB slot, we purchased the adapter. The adapter fits in the USB slot and worked perfectly. In addition, we downloaded freeware (Zero Assumption Recovery) to recover the deleted images and it worked like a charm. Also, it makes transfers of photos easier from the memory card to the PC.
