Matute the battery works great. i don't even bring my power adapter with me when i leave the house. only problem is that one side of the battery is tight when its attached to the laptop. it take a bit of effort to push it in place for the lock to secure. it's also the same when i have to remove it. other then that i'm very happy with the item.

-not the exact, exact color but nothing to complain about
-sometimes i wished the bump was there

Hp 2140 Netbook Battery - Run time is better than expected Jul 07, 2011

This replacement battery is not OEM - that is, it is not manufactured by HP. I typically look for OEM batteries because I often have bad experience with replacement batteries. However, I am very happy with this replacement.
A couple of items worth noting:
1. The battery does not slide into place like the original HP battery. I have to force it into place because it is just a tad wider than the original. However, once I jimmy it, it locks in place and holds. Removing the battery takes a bit of tugging back and forth as well. I have read other reviews where non-OEM batteries are not as exact as the original. Some hacks suggest taking a small file and reducing the width just a tad to allow the battery to slide into place. I have not done this because I don't want to void the warranty.
2. The original HP battery has a battery capacity indicator on the back of the battery; it's a set of LEDs that light to indicate the level of battery power remaining. The replacement battery does not have this feature. But, I can live without it because the price is right.
As far as run time, I get about 3-4 hours of Wi-Fi internet use. I am impressed with the run time. I typically dim my screen as much as I can tolerate to increase the run time. If I run at full brightness, I can average about 1.5-2.0 hours of Wi-Fi internet use. I typically surf the web and read on the netbook while connected to Wi-Fi. Although I have not tried it, I suspect that the netbook would run longer without Wi-Fi. The original HP battery gives me about the same run time.
In my experience with non-OEM batteries, I typically get about 25-50% of run time compared to original. This replacement battery matches the original.
I would definitely buy another battery from this manufacturer.

By J. Jaeger I bought this larger battery for my HP Mini Netbook. It works as promised and provides me 3 times as much battery life as before. Very happy with this purchase.
