Started out great, dead after 5and a half months...! Mar 22, 2010

When I first got the battery and charged it up for my MSI Wind I was getting 10 to 11 hours battery life in real time depending on how many applications were open. Loved how the battery sat the netbook up on an angle for easier typing. Had written a great review when I first got it, but at 5 and half months after I charged it up I turned it on and watched all the battery life suck out of it in a couple minutes then went dead and would never hold a charge again, total failure. Over the next 6 months sent I 14 e-mails and called the company over a dozen times with no responce. FInaly after the year warrenty was almost up and had been using it as a paper holder for almost 6 months he answered the phone to only say a few unkind words to my explanation and hung up, called back and same responce so finaly reported to Amazon...Awful customer service, would never deal with this merchant again...now MSI makes their own 12 cell that is suppose to get 14 hours out of it but am saying more like a solid 11 to 12...no more off brand products for me...stay away from this seller...!!!

Great option to extend battery life May 05, 2009
By David S. Markowitz The 9 cell battery is physically larger than the OEM 3 cell that came with my MSI Wind U100. It protrudes from the bottom of the case about an inch and adds about a half pound to the machine's weight. It's still quite compact and portable, and the increased battery life is worth the increased weight and bulk IMO.
Battery1Inc.'s website states that they are shipped in a discharged state. However, when I plugged it in XP showed the battery as being 100% charged. I ran the netbook for about 2.5 hours on battery power, with the remaining life shown by XP fluctuating. So, I plugged it back in to ensure a full charge, with the intention of testing the battery later.
After a full charge overnight, both XP and Ubuntu 8.10 report battery life for the fully charged unit at 6 or 7 hours. Using the Wind for typical netbook tasks, e.g., web browsing, email, Facebook, and Youtube, these figures are pretty accurate. Life could be extended by putting the Wind into "Turbo Mode" which underclocks the CPU to 800 MHz and dims the screen.
I'm very pleased with this battery.

I ordered the battery pictured above and received the wrong battery TWICE. I have no idea if the one I ordered works well or not because I never received it, so this is a review of the seller and not the product.
