Fantastic netbook Sep 05, 2010
By Eagle Jackson This is my favorite netbook. In fact I liked it so much, I bought one and am buying another. One of the best parts is that it runs XP. I bought a very similar Samsung (same hw specs) but it has Windows 7 Starter, and it's really unusably slow. But with XP, and it's very fast. I'm buying an extra one because I don't know how long the XP based netbooks will still be available.

Decent product Apr 21, 2011

This netbook works for light use and to take notes at conferences. It has a webcam, but it is not possible to make a video Skype call since the system runs too slow. That was disappointing. It does work for surfing the web, taking notes and checking emails. I downloaded one of the free office software products for note taking.

For what it is, I love it! Mar 31, 2011
By MonkezUncle First, a quick word of warning... when overnight shipping something like this with Amazon do NOT do a c/o in the address... that made getting this netbook a little bit of a challenge.
As to the netbook itself. I love it. There is much you have to sacrifice in getting a netbook but for the price you simply can't beat it with a stick. I even play games on mine - few lags but other then that very good.
Things I like: Battery life, screen quality, keyboard, weight, processing power and speed. Runs every office and web application I need for my office-away-from-the-office.
Things I dislike: No CD drive (I really think they could have gotten one in there if they wanted to) and all the preloaded JUNK software. Mine also has a screw loose (literally) that rattles around inside the case
A friend showed me his $1,000 iPad yesterday and we compared it to my netbook. My netbook has more memory, a faster processor and a full keyboard. His ipad is way cooler. But I only paid $250. I'll use the other $750 for something cool. Enjoy! :)

Very pleased May 26, 2011
By Jack The Samsung N135 is an excellent product. Windows XP is installed and I consider it much better than the new Windows 7.
Great little machine Jun 25, 2011
By Ben C This Netbook has just as much power as my Laptop, after getting the RAM to 2GB and ignoring the obvious lack of optical drive. Best of all, it has a 5 hour battery and it's running XP, not that I have anything against 7, but I'm not in the market for a $700 Netbook just so it can have the power to handle it. This is a nice cheap solution at this point, and Samsung did a good job watching the details, the keyboard feels good (I find myself preferring to type on it over my other keyboards), and the touchpad is definitely usable, good for what it is, though I generally attach a USB mouse anyway.
One minor issue: there is no real volume control beyond on/off, or within programs like iTunes. It shows 20 degrees of volume to set, yet the only ones that make a difference are 0 or 1 (which reads as full), fine for the little internal speaker, sucks if using headphones while browsing (get eardrums blasted on youtube or just on ads).
Still, I am very happy with my choice, and I can let Samsung miss one detail, especially as my research found far worse omissions in the competition.
