Wonderful, quiet, smart netbook with tons of battery life! May 10, 2010

I've had my pink netbook for over a month. I am very pleased!
I'm especially happy with its external monitor feature. I have hooked it up to two different monitors and an HDTV, all with great success. When you connect it via the VGA port, a little window pops up which allows you to choose what you want to do, and at what resolution. AND, you can set the resolution much higher than the built-in monitor's size. So on my 46" T.V., I feel quite powerful.
The 1MB RAM installed does not slow me down much at all, though I don't use memory-intensive features. I wouldn't stream video on such a small machine anyway.
Stand-by works like a charm, and if you leave it on stand-by too long, it automatically hibernates. Some other P.C.'s I've used would freeze every day or two or just wouldn't take, so I'm happy that this one actually works! The battery works for a long time, so I don't even charge it every day.
The touchpad is smooth (which is why the unpleasantly bumpy Asus was booted out of the running), the glossy finish is not too fingerprinty, and its matte screen is nice for those of us who don't like reflections.
The built-in camera, though I believe is 0.3 megapixels, gives a crisp image at least in daylight. No problems with Wi-Fi at all in a two-story house, and love that it has a built-in SD card slot for easy transfer of photos from a camera.
Then there's the USB port I use to charge my MP3 player and my European phone while I travel when it's off, and two more!
And it's pink! Which I paid about $30 extra for because I knew the extra bit of happiness I got from seeing the cheery color would pay for itself in no time. It has! Also, now that this is selling via [...], you get free shipping, and [...] ships fast! I did Supersaver with Amazon and it took a good week-and-a-half, nail-biting but still worth the wait.
Note: for use abroad, you'll need a three-prong to foreign adapter plug. No voltage converter of course. It also has two little feet in the back that may not be comfortable on your legs but is not a biggie.
Never had a netbook before, but am pleased with how quiet it is. I don't hear any fan noise or anything. Bliss. Gets a touch warm on the left side but not uncomfortably so.
Conclusion: love it!

pinklicious candy netbook but with quality Apr 22, 2010

Yes, I'm a pink addict. I been dying to get a netbook for a while and I have been researching. I needed a netbook because my laptop is 5 years old and I need something portable and cute to bring it to school. Since I'm a student, price was also a factor too. But mainly, I really wanted good design and color. I was going to buy toshiba pink one, but I'm glad that I didn't. So here's my intake:
pro: 1. color! this is not a your usual pink you see. It's vibrant candy pink color that any girl will love. It's white inside with pink lining on the side. 2. The design! It's small, portable, and has very clean cover 3. price! It's not expensive like sony vaio netbook, but it's not cheap like acer, and it is well known good brand.
con: 1. windows 7 starter, y can't they just give out full windows 7? 2. need to get use to the keyboard, but every netbook is like that
overall, I think every netbook is same same (same concept, similar quality, same format), but if you care about design and color, this is a good netbook for you. I love the color so much!

Pretty in pink! May 25, 2010
By Mandy Gamboni So far so good! I love the size and the color! I was a little bummed about some of the things about Windows 7 Starter, like for example you can't change the background on your desktop; so do you research on Windows 7 Starter first! But overall I'm pretty happy!
For the price, great netbook! Dec 19, 2011

I feel if you're looking for something simple that's able to run the internet or play solitaire on, this is a good choice. It does tend to run slow when using larger programs but it handles Microsoft Word and Excel well. Mine has an issue holding a battery charge. I can fully charge it and go to use it and it only has half a charge. I don't use it often, but it's a handy thing to have around.
