Great Deal for a Netbook Mar 29, 2010
By JD I gave this netbook 5 stars. I bought it for 289 and wasn't expecting a supercomputer for the size or price. I use it mainly for the internet and Microsoft Office. Didn't have any problems with the wireless at all. It has great battery life and a battery life extender feature that only charges it 80% if you want to extend the life or 100% if you need the extra power. Runs about 6 hours with the 80% charge. The keyboard is easy to use. Windows 7 is limited, but again.. for the price what were you expecting? Almost all new netbooks come with Windows 7. I didn't buy the dvd drive and so far haven't had a need for it since all programs you can install via download or flash drive. The build in SD slot is handy for downloading pictures from your digicam.
Built in webcam is also a neat little feature for web conferencing. The processor is a bit slow, you need to know that this is not a desktop replacement laptop. Web and Office are the most this thing can handle at once. I did look up buying an extra ac adapter from Samsung and it was pretty expensive compared to how much the netbook cost. I uninstalled a lot of the programs that came with the computer which also helped boost performance. I upgraded to 2 gigs of ram which helped a lot also. Overall a great deal and I would recommend it for the road, for class or for an extra computer.
You're buying a netbook, not a full fledged powerful computer. Know its limitations.

will barely run without 2 GB Ram Apr 03, 2010
By B. R. Feldman I like this Netbook. BUT it's barely functional without 2GB of Ram. I'm no geek, the difference is incredibly noticeable. I had big problems with Flash at sites like Hulu and reviews said that the Atom processor can't really run flash but not true - the problem was trying to run it with the 1GB. With 2GB this netbook will do everything you need it to do.

Very Nice for the Price! Jun 20, 2010

I've had the Samsung N150 since March and really love it. It's light and fast, which is exactly what I was looking for as far as a netbook. I feel like I got a winner in my book. I did add/adjust some things on the N150.
--Upgraded to 2GB
--After about 6 weeks of owning, I upgraded to full version of Windows 7. Glad I did. The basic starter version is eh...okay, but full version is much better. I think it even runs faster than before the upgrade.
--I ditched the free McAfee virus protection and went with the free Windows Securities Essential. Easy to install and unobtrusive, unlike McAfee. (Be sure to remove McAfee first)
--The N150 comes with a free trial of WORD 2007 and I got lucky in that I had bought a copy of Home & Student 2007 eighteen months ago. It allows me to use for up to three computers, so all I had to do was type in the code and have full use of WORD 2007.
The Samsung N150 starts up fast and the screen is bright and clear. I haven't tried to power down the battery yet, but have used it for three hours with no problems. One suggestion I have is to NOT put in a flash drive at start up. I had the netbook lock up at start up before I figured out it was the flash drive.
Overall, I highly recommend the Samsung N150 for anyone looking for an excellent, well-built netbook.

Great machine Mar 21, 2010
By Peter J. Murray Please see my full review on the blue variant here: Samsung N150 10.1-Inch Blue Netbook - Up to 7 Hours of Battery Life. The variants are all the same, with the exception of color. The blue is a matte blue, and this one is a shiny black. After rolling out 3 of the blue ones, I saw that this black one was available for a great price. While I'm not a fan of the shiny black, only the lid is matte, the inside is a nice matte black with a red accent trim around the side.
I've had some some time with this model and I'm very happy with it. Battery life has been good, they keyboard is good, the matte screen is a godsend compared to the trend towards gloss, and most importantly, the machine is extremely quiet. When the fan does run, you just can't hear it, it's obscured by the quiet hard drive noise. For those of you who are concerned with having a quiet machine, you'll be very happy. The trackpad buttons would be my only complaint, I feel they could be positioned a bit better, but the trackpad itself is very good.

Happy with my little black netbook Apr 15, 2010

Really no complaints. I knew going in that the computer would be a little slow, and it is when i'm on the internet. but since i mostly use it for word processing it doesn't bother me. Despite the slower internet speeds, I love my netbook! It is small enough for me to carry with me every day on the train and not feel like I'm lugging rocks in my bag. Battery life is great, i can use it all week without having to recharge it. Overall - I am very happy. (Even the webcam works really well when talking over skype).
