The product I received did not work and was missing parts. It was supposed to draw its power from the laptop and did not. Because it was not drawing power from the laptop, there was no way of charging the unit's battery since no AC power cord was included. Item would not power on and wouldn't even open. I purchased the item through Amazon from a company called Computer Geeks. The experience with Computer Geeks was deplorable! Their customer service is inept and poorly trained... I had to make at least 11 long distance phone calls in order to arrange for a return and refund. Most of their reps speak English very poorly and gave conflicting information. Finally, 3 days later I was able to return the item via FedEx with the shipping label that was sent to me by email (that took 2 days to get) and then I waited over a week to get my money refunded. When all was said and done, I was completely frustrated and will never do business with Computer Geeks again. Once the refund was issued, I was then contacted via email by Computer Geeks pleading with me to change my negative feedback left for them regarding their faulty product and poor customer service. They're apparently unaware that feedback cannot be altered after it has been submitted to Amazon. True, they did follow through in the return/refund process, but it should not have taken so much bother and expense on my part to get it pushed through. They then reported that the item I returned as faulty actually worked! HOW? How does an item with a dead battery and no power cord function properly?
BUYERS BEWARE THIS SELLER! Your best bet is to deal with Targus directly and not through Computer Geeks.
